Maple Walnut Quick Bread
Ingredients
1 cup Fulton's Maple Syrup, plus 1 tbsp. more for glazing
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 large egg, beaten
Grated rind from 1 lemon
2½ cups all-purpose flour
3 tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Baking soda
¼ tsp. Salt
¾ cup chopped walnuts
¾ cup orange juice
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x5x3" loaf pan.
  • Beat together 1 cup Fulton's Maple Syrup, butter, egg and lemon rind.
  • In a separate bowl, sift dry ingredients together and add walnuts, tossing to coat them with flour.
  • Stir dry ingredients into syrup mixture and stir in orange juice.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and bread has begun to pull away from sides of pan. Cool on a rack.
  • After bread has cooled, brush with remaining 1 tbsp. Fulton's Maple Syrup.
