Maple
Walnut Quick Bread
Ingredients
1 cup Fulton's Maple Syrup, plus 1 tbsp. more for glazing
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 large egg, beaten
Grated rind from 1 lemon
2½ cups all-purpose flour
3 tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Baking soda
¼ tsp. Salt
¾ cup chopped walnuts
¾ cup orange juice

Preheat
oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x5x3" loaf pan.

Beat
together 1 cup Fulton's Maple Syrup, butter, egg and lemon rind.

In
a separate bowl, sift dry ingredients together and add walnuts,
tossing to coat them with flour.

Stir
dry ingredients into syrup mixture and stir in orange juice.

Pour
batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick
inserted in the center comes out clean and bread has begun to
pull away from sides of pan. Cool on a rack.

After
bread has cooled, brush with remaining 1 tbsp. Fulton's Maple
Syrup.
